Wermelskirchen. 22 großformatige Bilder sorgen im Rhombus-Park an diesem Wochenende für einen besonderen Blickfang. Der Düsseldorfer Fotograf Dieter Klein zeigt Werke aus seinem Projekt „Forest Punk“.
Frei übersetzt ist es „Waldmüll“ – aber ein besonderer. Denn Klein hat weltweit alte Fahrzeuge fotografiert, die in Wäldern „entsorgt“ wurden. 80 Prozent der Projektarbeit war Recherche, vielfach ist er mehrmals zu den Standorten aufgebrochen, um die Fotos zu machen. Fotografiert hat er nicht nur in Europa, sondern auch in den USA, Skandinavien und Mittelamerika. Die Fotos auf den Folien sind nicht nachbearbeitet, sondern im vorhandenen Licht aufgenommen. WiW-Vorsitzender André Frowein: „Das sind Hingucker – sie passen nicht nur zu den alten Traktoren, die beim Bauernmarkt auffahren werden, sondern auch zum Jahresabschlusstreffen der bergischen Oldtimerfreunde. Und vor diesen alten Gemäuern wirken die Fotos noch eindrucksvoller!

Wermelskirchen. 22 large-format images will provide a special eye-catcher in Rhombus Park this weekend. The Düsseldorf photographer Dieter Klein shows works from his project „Forest Punk“.
Loosely translated, it is „forest trash“ – but a special one. Because Klein has photographed old vehicles around the world that have been „dumped“ in forests. 80 percent of the project work was research; in many cases, he set out several times to the sites to take the photos. He photographed not only in Europe, but also in the USA, Scandinavia and Central America. The photos on the slides are not post-processed, but taken in the available light. WiW chairman André Frowein: „These are eye-catchers – they fit not only to the old tractors, which will drive up with the farmer market, but also to the year-end meeting of the bergischen old timer friends. And in front of these old walls, the photos look even more impressive!
